Membership Fees & Deposits
Following the approval of your Membership Application, or renewal of your Membership, your Membership fee becomes payable immediately. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable joining fee will be charged. Any applicable Membership fees will be charged either annually or monthly according to Member preference stated upon joining. Fees will be charged on an automated recurring basis.
By providing us with your payment details, you accept and consent to being charged with Membership fees in the form requested by Lighthouse Social upon your Application being approved or renewed. Failure to pay the annual subscription (or any instalment) within one month of the due date, after being notified by Lighthouse Social, will result in your Membership, and access to the club, being suspended until payment is received. If you are still in arrears three months from the due date, your Membership may be terminated.
Membership Cancellations & Committee Discretion
To cancel your Membership to Lighthouse Social, you must provide the club with 30-days written notice prior to your renewal date. Should your Membership be terminated for any reason, all outstanding balances must be settled, and any Lighthouse Social property returned to the club. The Membership Committee reserves the right to revoke the Membership of any Member, at any time, and at its sole discretion without providing a reason. Membership fee refunds for terminated Members (on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the Membership year) are at the Club’s discretion.
Proposing New Members and Being Proposed for Membership
All current Members of the club are welcome to propose new Applicants to join Lighthouse Social. Having a current Member act as your proposer in support of your Membership Application is not mandatory, but can be looked upon favourably by the Membership Committee.
Freezing Membership
In certain circumstances, and at the sole discretion of club management, Members may be permitted to temporarily ‘freeze’ their Memberships for a period of time. These circumstances include maternity / paternity leave, protracted illness, loss of employment, secondment overseas or other justifiable occurrence. Requests to freeze your Membership must be made in writing to the club, and the timing and length of the freeze will be reviewed and considered fairly. Only one freeze period is permissible during a single Membership year.
Your Membership Card
Your digital Membership Card can be accessed easily by downloading and storing from the Members portal app to an Apple wallet or similar digital wallet. A digital Membership Card will be required for checking in to the Club each time you visit.
Reservation Policy
Reservations can be made no more than 3 months in advance. Reservations of up to 6 guests should be made via the online portal or Member app. Reservations of 7 or more can be made via email or phone to the reception team.
Settling Your Bills
You are responsible for settling any balance opened during each visit to Lighthouse Social, and will assume responsibility for open balances of your guests. We will charge the credit card linked to your account for any balance left unpaid. All Members must always maintain a valid form of payment on file with the Lighthouse Social Membership team. Any bills that remain outstanding for more than a week, for any reason, may result in Membership suspension. An optional service charge will be added to all bills. We operate as a cashless venue.
Dress Code
Whilst generally speaking we adopt a relaxed dress code, please ensure that attire worn at the club is appropriate at all times, and unlikely to cause offence or embarrassment to fellow Members. We ask Members not to wear football or rugby attire. Footwear including trainers should be smart. For health and safety reasons Members are asked not to wear flip flops. Our reception team reserves the right to turn away Members or their guests if they are dressed inappropriately. From time to time, certain Lighthouse Social events may have specifically stated dress codes which Members and their guests will be informed of in advance.
Food & Beverage
No outside food or beverage is permitted inside the Club, with the exception of specific food items for a child’s special dietary needs, or the needs of an infant.
Guests
You may host up to three guests at the club at any one time, other than in connection with a specific table booking, private room booking, or event space booking, where guest numbers are agreed in advance.
When not in connection with an advance booking, should you wish to entertain more than three guests at any time, you may call (at least 2 hours) prior to visiting to request a larger guest list (which the Club’s management team will either approve or not approve at its sole discretion). All guests must sign in at the front desk upon arrival but will not be granted access to the Club until you have arrived. You must remain with your guests at all times, and are fully responsible for their conduct and behaviour.
Events
Lighthouse Social curates, produces and hosts a monthly calendar of events for Members, that are bookable through the Club app. When a Member books an event and doesn’t attend, that means another Member may have missed out on the chance to participate (especially in the case of events with very limited places). Repeated non attendance may result in the suspension of event booking privileges.
Children
Lighthouse Social is a private Club for adults, but where children, at certain times and in certain spaces, are also welcome. Babes in arms under 1 year old are permitted in the club until 6pm within designated areas. Children between the ages of 1 and 6 years old must be child Members to enter Lighthouse Social, and remain in the creche during their visit, unless they are attending programming put on specifically for that age group. Well behaved children between 7 and 12 are permitted in the club from opening until 6pm but form part of your guest allowance, and must always be under the direct supervision of a parent. Children between 13 and 18 are permitted in the club from opening until 6pm but form part of your guest allowance.
Use of The Creche
The creche facility is designed to cater for children aged 1-6 years old, all of whom must be Child Members. The number of Child Memberships is limited, and Child Memberships include a fixed allowance of creche hours per month. The creche operates on advance bookings, made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. During the onboarding of Child Members, the associated parent or carer Member will be required to agree to further terms and conditions that are unique to the creche, and cover areas such as data policy and safeguarding.
Dogs
Well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome in designated areas of the club until 6pm, but must remain on a lead and are not allowed on any furniture. In order for us to manage the number of dogs that might be in the Club at any time, dogs must be pre-registered with the Club prior to visiting. The number of pre-registered dogs may be limited, and the Club’s management team may refuse one or more dog’s access to the club, on an occasion where there is an unusually high number of dogs already present. Dogs that in any way cause a nuisance may be barred from visiting the Club.
Mobile Phones and Laptops
Lighthouse Social is principally a club designed for dining, drinking, relaxing and entertaining, especially in the evenings. Please be mindful of, and courteous to other Members and guests when using your phone. Laptops can be used during the day in the shared workspace on the 3rd floor, and may be permitted in certain other designated areas at the discretion of Club management. Any audio from phones and laptops should be enjoyed with headphones. Any laptops being used should be put away at 6pm. Mobile phones should be placed on silent upon entering the club. Any video calls should be taken with the privacy of Members and guests in mind. Laptops can be used in the shared workspace on the 3rd floor Monday-Friday until 6pm.
CCTV
In or to ensure the safety of our Members, guests and staff, Lighthouse Social has CCTV cameras throughout the club. By entering the Club, you and your guests accept that you will be captured on CCTV and that footage will be stored. The footage is accessed only if and when an incident occurs, and after 30 days is disposed of.
Smoking Policy
No smoking or vaping of any kind will be permitted inside Lighthouse Social at any time.
Photography and Filming
The use of camera, video and recording devices is not permitted unless it’s within a pre-booked private dining room or enclosed event space. As Lighthouse Social is a private club, Members and their guests who are on the premises have the right not to be filmed, photographed or recorded without their permission.
During certain club events, the Lighthouse Social team and / or Lighthouse Social partners may elect to film or photograph in specific club spaces. Such filming and photography may incidentally feature Members and their guests, and by attending club events, Members and their guests grant their approval to be included in the filmed and photographed reportage content created, which may feature on the club’s Member portal only.
Confidentiality
Lighthouse Social is a private club, not an open public space. Members and their guests should not post or disclose any private or unauthorised information or image on social platforms or to press outlets that in any manner violates the privacy of other Members or their guests. It is the Membership Committee and management team’s absolute discretion to determine whether someone’s privacy has been infringed upon. Noncompliance may lead to Membership suspension or termination.
Private Hire
Lighthouse Social incorporates a number of spaces that can be booked for private events. Those spaces can only be booked by a Member directly, or a person introduced to the club by a Member. When a Member introduces a private hire enquiry to the Club, that Member is responsible for the conduct and behaviour of the host and guests that attend. The hire of any particular private space can be authorised and denied at the discretion of club management.
Operating a Business
Members are welcome to host business meetings at the Club, but not allowed to operate a business from the club. The Club’s address should not be used as the address of any business entity.
Match Days
When the Craven Cottage stadium hosts a Fulham Football Club home game or other stadium event, the entire Fulham Pier facility, including the floors dedicated to Lighthouse Social, are closed, as the required additional security ensures that only ticket holders can access the grounds. As a result, Members are not permitted to access the Club on Fulham FC match days or other stadium events. There are around 20 of these closures per year and the majority of these will be advised to Members well in advance. Some closures may have shorter notice periods depending on the team’s performance in competitions, and date changes due to factors outside of our control. With certain determined kick off times, the Club may re-open the same day.
Club Maintenance
We may at times close all or part of the Club to Members and their guests for private events or for necessary maintenance, repair or redecoration work. Where all or part of the Club is closed for maintenance, repair or redecoration work, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services because we consider that they may pose a risk to the health or safety of our Members, Members’ guests, and staff, or that they are detrimental to the business, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practicable.
Conduct
Lighthouse Social retains sole discretion of entry of any Member or guest. Should the activities of any Member or guest be determined illegal, disruptive, inappropriate or potentially a legal or reputational liability, Lighthouse Social reserves the right to refuse service or to expel the Member or guest from the premises. The Lighthouse Social management team reserves the right to refuse service and/or escort patrons off the premises at any time for any reason or no reason. Harassment is not tolerated at the Club, and any such harassment towards staff or fellow patrons shall be immediately reported to the Lighthouse Social management team. If the complaint is justified, the offending party’s Membership may be immediately terminated.
Illegal Drugs / Substances
Lighthouse Social operates a zero tolerance policy with regards drugs. No Member or guest of a Member shall purchase, use, ingest, possess or distribute illegal drugs or other substances or attempt to do any of the same while at Lighthouse Social or in the immediate vicinity. Contraventions of this rule will result in the Member in question being terminated.
Updates to Rules
The Club Rules, Terms and Conditions, Membership Categories and benefits may change in the future at any time at the discretion of Lighthouse Social’s management team. Lighthouse Social will communicate any changes to club rules via e-mail, posted to our website or by other means of communication.
